At last Lexy has joined Christian and Ben in answering the reader inspired character profile. I haven't nagged her too much because as we all know, she suffered a terrible loss this Summer.
I would like to take this opportunity of sending Lexy our condolences (I hope you don't mind me speaking for you in these circumstances). A loss like she's suffered stays with you forever, but Lexy’s super-lucky to have Christian and her Tribe to help her get through the toughest times.
Anyway, enough about such a sad subject. Here are Lexy's responses to the character questionnaire:-
Strongest personality traits: I'm assertive, talkative and stubborn. I'm a born leader but I'm beginning to think the Tribe is as discriminatory when it comes to women as the rest of the known universe.
Weakest personality traits: I have the attention span of a butterfly and, umm... Well, that's it really. Papa often said I was the strongest person he'd ever met.
Raven says although we are officially immortal now, each of us has one weakness. I don't know what mine is and I would hardly share it in an interview if I did. I'm not an idiot.
Needs: Food. Vegan food only. A lot of it.
Our biographer, Jobie, wrote a lot about my eating habits in Ink. I've asked her not to ramble on about it so much in the next book, but who knows... no one ever listens to me anyway.
Age: 22 (and a cradle snatcher as Christian keeps telling me - he has only just turned 19)
Ambitions: I haven't told anyone this yet, but since the explosion at the Houses of Parliament, I've been considering going into politics. I know I'm going to be busy with the Tribe, but there must be something I can do.
Physical appearance: White blond hair, six foot six tall (oh, shut up, it's embarrassing enough without the comments), super-skinny - which is why I have to EAT so much - with red eyes.
Father’s name: Echo Donovan
Mother’s name: Mary Donovan
Favourite sayings: 'I'm starving' or maybe 'I'm ravenous'.
Best friend: Sarah-Jane - you wouldn't know her. She's been my best friend since school. She lives in Bristol, near my mum. I only see her occasionally now we're grown but we made an unbreakable blood pact to be best friends until we die. We were seven at the time.
Interests and hobbies: I don't exactly have a mass of time for hobbies but I've always been sporty. My favourite sport is lacrosse. You have to be skilled, it is fast paced and it's easy to take your frustrations out on the opposing team.
Favourite foods: Anything vegan but especially pizza with olives, sun-dried tomatoes and vegan cheese. Yum!
Favourite colours: Can't tell you that, you'll figure out my passwords and steal my identity.
Pets: Nope. Echo wasn't a fan and now we move around so much, I don't know when I'll get the chance.
I brought three hamsters home from school to care for them over the summer holidays once and by the time I took them back there were more than thirty of the little buggers.
Education: School in Bristol followed by undergraduate studies at Oxford. I moved to California for post-graduate studies before I was rudely interrupted by Raven and his mobile tattoo parlour. Ha ha.
Religion: Love. That's it. Doesn't matter what religion you are as long as you remember to speak, and and think from a place of love.
Future plans: Apart from being an active member of the Tribe, my focus will be to follow in my father's footsteps. Westminster here I come.
Possessions I values most: I carry one of my father's monogrammed cuff-links everywhere I go. I also have a white feather with blue tips. I'm not ready to talk about that though.
What drives your character: Gratitude. I grew up with so many advantages and then I found my Tribe and my life's purpose. I feel blessed and have sworn not to waste even a second of it.
How do you handle conflict: I see conflict as natural. If you believe in something and yearn for change, you have to be willing to ruffle a few feathers.
What is your favourite room and why: Kitchen. If you can't guess the reason by now you haven't been listening.
What vehicle do you drive: I tend to go by public transport, it's more environmentally friendly but if I did buy a car I'd have one of those nifty little BMW i3s. They're electric and look great fun to drive.
Favourite sport(s): Lacrosse to play and cricket to watch.
In the summer I used to wander down to the village green near my parent's house and watch the local amateur team play. When I watch a cricket match now, it takes me back to those halcyon days.
What are your prejudices: Hmm. That's a good question. I'm not a fan of demons and I'm a little wary of wizards. When you read Flak, you'll understand why.
How do you feel about love: Love? Why, love is all you need. Love is a battlefield. I got that loving feeling. You get the gist.
Well, thanks Lexy. I wonder who we’ll be hearing from next? Zack and Kai, or perhaps Adi?
We’ll have to wait and see.
